Brian Luckett named NJCAA Director of Development
Luckett previously served as Associate Athletic Director at Patrick Henry Community College
Colorado Springs, CO—The NJCAA has announced the hiring of Brian Luckett as the Director of Development and External Affairs. Luckett's tenure with the association will begin on Feb. 20.
Luckett will serve in multiple capacities for the NJCAA with a focus on developing partnerships and sponsors. Luckett will also lead efforts in external affairs including managing the NJCAA TV network, digital transformation and brand awareness for the NJCAA.
NJCAA Executive Director Dr. Christopher Parker expressed his anticipation for Luckett joining the association. "Brian brings a wealth of high-level experience to the NJCAA, something that will help our membership from the moment he steps in. With a firm grasp on branding and marketing, Brian will provide the association with a unique perspective on how to take the NJCAA to new levels."
A native of Rocky Mount, VA, Luckett has previous experience at the NJCAA level. From 2015-16, Luckett served as the Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs at Patrick Henry Community College, a NJCAA Region 10 member in Martinsville, VA. Luckett's oversaw all external affairs for the athletic department including budget oversight, news content, fundraising, game operations, marketing and promotions. While at Patrick Henry, Luckett also provided oversight for the 2015 NJCAA DI Men's Soccer National Championship.

Following his time at Patrick Henry, Luckett was appointed as the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications at Pfeiffer University in North Carolina, a position he held since March 2016. Luckett managed all marketing endeavors and strategies for the university, assisting with enrolling the largest incoming class in nearly 30 years.
Luckett earned a master's degree in Higher Education/Collegiate Athletic Administration from the University of Virginia, a bachelor's degree in Government from Virginia, and an associate's degree from Patrick Henry. Luckett and his wife Megan currently reside in Concord, NC.
