Three NJCAA Alumni Selected in National Lacrosse League Draft
Charlotte, NC - The 2025 National Lacrosse League (NLL) Draft took place on Saturday, September 6, and saw three former National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) student-athletes selected. Two former Howard Community College Dragons, Kaden Brennan and Zane Dalpe, were drafted by the Philadelphia Wings while Greg Elijah-Brown of the Onondaga Community College Lazers was picked by the Ottawa Black Bears.
Kaden Brennan | Howard (MD) | Philadelphia Wings | Round 4, Pick 50
A member of the 2022 Howard men's lacrosse team, Brennan helped the Dragons to a runner-up finish at the NJCAA National Championship. Brennan played in all 15 games during the season and recorded 20 goals, 16 assists, and 18 groundballs. He was named to the NJCAA Region 20 All-Region Team.
Zane Dalpe | Howard (MD) | Philadelphia Wings | Round 5, Pick 64
Dalpe was a two-year starter for the Dragons, appearing in 27 games across the 2022 and 2023 seasons. In 2022, Dalpe received NJCAA All-America First-Team honors, was named the Region 20 Co-Offensive Player of the Year and earned a spot on the NJCAA All-Tournament Team after helping Howard reach the national championship game. In 2023, Dalpe became a two-time NJCAA All-America honoree and was selected for the All-Region 20 First Team. Dalpe recorded 92 career goals, 30 total assists, and 44 groundballs in two years for the Dragons.
Greg Elijah-Brown | Onondaga (NY) | Ottawa Black Bears | Round 5, Pick 69
A two-time NJCAA All-America First Team member, Elijah-Brown started all 26 games during his time at Onondaga. He netted 102 career goals plus 81 assists for a total of 183 points for the Lazers. The attackman also added 62 groundballs and 20 caused turnovers. He was named NJCAA Region 3 Player of the Year in 2023. Elijah-Brown remains tied for the Onondaga program record for most goals scored in a single game with 10 in 2023. He also ranks ninth in the Lazers' record book for career goals.
