Chautauqua to host 2021, 2022 DIII men's golf
Charlotte, NC – The Chautauqua Golf Club in Chautauqua, NY has been selected as the host of the 2021 and 2022 NJCAA DIII Men's Golf Tournament. The 2021 season will mark the 21st consecutive year the club has hosted the tournament.
Annually marked as the final NJCAA championship of the athletic year, the NJCAA DIII Men's Golf Tournament has been hosted at the Chautauqua Golf Club every year since 2000. Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic that halted the sports world in 2020, the club was unable to host the June event but was rewarded with an additional two years. Jamestown (NY) will serve as the host school for the tournament.
"We are proud of the fact we have hosted this event for the last 20 years," stated George Sisson, Jamestown Director of Atheltics and Recreation. "We have garnered the support of so many people and organizations that make this event so awesome for the participants. We look forward to crowning more champions on the course looking over Chautauqua Lake - a great place for great memories."
Built by legendary architects Seymour Dunn and Donald Ross, the site has seen the likes of Ben Hogan and Sam Snead roam the fairways of the course perched along Chautauqua Lake.
Georgia Military most recently captured the NJCAA DIII Men's Golf Championship at Chautauqua Golf Club with a thrilling one-stroke victory in 2018 over Sandhills (NC).
The 2021 tournament will be held June 8-11 while the 2022 event will run from June 7-10.
