Golfers sink first-career aces in consecutive groups
Blake Kelly and Bailey Neveker aced the second hole at Paxon Hollow Golf Course
A pair of NJCAA student-athletes opened up their 2018 golf season in memorable fashion on Wednesday afternoon with a pair of back-to-back hole-in-ones at the Paxon Hollow Golf Course in Media, PA.
Blake Kelly of Lehigh Carbon (PA) and Bailey Neveker of Harrisburg Area (PA) both recorded their first-career ace in consecutive groups on the second hole in each team's season opener.
Kelly opened up the excitement with a 52-degree approach wedge while Bailey used a 60-degree lob wedge to sink the 106-yard shot and cap the remarkable feat. Neveker finished the day with a 79, the second-lowest score of the day and Kelly totaled a team-best 91.
Wednesday's EPAC Division III Region XIX outing, hosted by Delaware County Community featured six teams.
