NJCAA President's Award
The NJCAA President's Award recognizes an NJCAA national office staff member for his/her achievements and who exemplifies the values of the Association. The recipient of the award is determined by the President and CEO. This year marks the inaugural year of the award being given.
Wanda Bodey – NJCAA
Wanda Bodey is coming up on her 30th year working for the NJCAA National Office. She currently serves as the Director of Compliance and Eligibility Operations and helps oversee NJCAA member college eligibility and letter of intent systems. Bodey supports the executive committee, eligibility committee, region directors and assistant region directors on daily initiatives.
Being an integral member of the NJCAA National Office staff, Bodey has stayed with the association through its transition from Colorado to Charlotte. Bodey, still living in Colorado, regularly attends all necessary NJCAA meetings both online and in person including attending the annual NJCAA Convention. She upholds the greatest values of the NJCAA through her hard work and dedication to the association and continues to be an exemplary employee and coworker.
Bodey is the longest tenured staff member of the NJCAA National Office, having joined in 1994 as an administrative assistant. Throughout her career, she has stepped into the role of associate executive director before being named to her current position in 2018. In 2012, Bodey received her bachelors in sports management from the United States Sports Academy.
