Colorado Springs, CO – The NJCAA announced the hiring of Morgan Freeman as the association's Director of Corporate Partnerships on Wednesday. Freeman joins the NJCAA following a productive career in sales with the Atlanta Falcons and Topgolf Corp.
"I'm looking forward to working with an organization that helps so many student-athletes receive an education and play sports that they love," Freeman expressed.
Freeman comes to the NJCAA with an extensive career in sales, including three years with the Atlanta Falcons from 2014-17 where her primary responsibilities focused on selling premium seating in the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Freeman was part of a team that helped generate over $300 million in revenue, including a personal figure of $400,000 in her first two months on the job.
Over the past five months, Freeman has worked as an Event Sales Consultant for Topgolf Corp. in Oklahoma City, OK where she has continuously ranked in the top three in retail nationwide.
A former student-athlete, Freeman graduated cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where she was a member of the women's volleyball program. Freeman received her master's degree in Sports Industry Management from Georgetown University.
"As a former student-athlete myself, it is important to me to give back to fellow student-athletes and working for the NJCAA is a great opportunity to do so," Freeman added. "It will be a lot of work to reach our goals, but I'm excited for this new chapter in my career and to work with such a great organization."
NJCAA CEO Dr. Christopher Parker commended Freeman's ability to help expand the NJCAA's brand. "Morgan brings a very unique and experienced skill set to the association that will provide our members with continued growth in a variety of areas. Morgan's career has allowed her to make prominent connections that will in turn lead to solid relationships for the NJCAA."
